It’s been a little over a week and we are still so blown away by how incredible the 27th Annual Jolly Holly Run was for everyone involved! Between the new course, hosting registration and awards inside of our new home, Reese’s House, the beautiful weather, the incredible competition, and the genuine happiness that we saw from so many of our runners and volunteers, we have plenty to be thankful for!

We had 146 registrants for the race this year and out of those people, 86 were first-time participants in a Jolly Holly event! This might not seem like a huge deal, but having over half of your runners participating for the first time is a great sign of growth for the race. It is very encouraging and gives us a lot to look forward to in the following years.

While we love to put on great events for our community, we have to remember that this event is a major fundraiser for two incredible local nonprofit organizations, Positive Vibes Community Group and Our Future First. With the help of our incredible sponsors and all of our participants, we were able to make just over $5,000 in profit from the race. This means that both of our organizations will receive over $2,500 to help fund our work in the community!

Speaking of sponsors, we’d be remiss if we didn’t take a second to extend our deepest gratitude to the following businesses and organizations. Without their help, the Jolly Holly would not have been possible. Please take a minute to check them out and see if their offerings fit any specific needs that you have. It’s important to support entities that wholeheartedly support our community!

We also cannot thank Second Capital Running enough for all of their hard work to make this the best Jolly Holly ever! They undertook a complete course redesign, helped us in rebranding the race, created incredible signage and medals for us, and managed the race flawlessly! Their assistance helped us take our event to a brand new level and we could not be more grateful! If you are thinking of holding a race event of your own or want to participate in some of their other events, check out their page!

We can’t wait to see what the event will look like next year as we continue to build and grow our outreach and presence in our community! Take care and be well!
