We’re hard at work getting ready for our 3rd Annual Back to School Shoe Drive and we can use your help! Over the last two years, we have given out over 600 pairs of new and gently-used (but thoroughly cleaned and shined!) shoes in our community for our Back to School Shoe Drive! What started as an idea from young adults in our first Innovation Hour cohort continues to grow and expand each year.
Now that we are in our third year, we have a new goal! We are doing our best to provide only brand-new shoes to our students as they start the school year. We all know what it feels like to go to show up to school in a new pair of kicks and we want to help create that feeling for the youth in our community.
We will be taking requests from our community and filling these requests as they are received with purchases of new shoes. After all requests are filled, we will purchase shoes that will be distributed at our event on Labor Day (more information coming!). You can help by making a 100% tax-deductible donation that will be used just to purchase shoes. Our fundraising goal for this year is $2,000 and we appreciate anything you can donate to help us meet and exceed that number!
